I'm a fan of ice hockey but as someone who lives in the UK I don't get to see the highest standard much. We stopped in Vegas for a couple of nights on a US West coast tour and with the arena placed in the middle of town it's a perfect location to walk over to! Vegas is a really interesting place to watch any sports, and I was surprised how the city gets behind the team considering how new it is, which made for an exciting buzz on game day. There were far more dedicated fans than I expected rather than tourists, too. The seats were brilliant and surprisingly good value considering the price of American sports normally. Only real complaint here is the sheer price of food and drink (but that's Vegas for you!) The atmosphere is good, and true to form they put on a big show. Highly recommend showing up early to experience it all!
